Choose Orthotics Over Inserts

Here is an interesting article titled “Do I Need Shoe Orthotics?” from WebMD. It outlines the differences between using an insert versus an orthotic.

Although inserts are a great solution to common foot problems, an orthotic is always recommended as a more long-term solution. Podiatrists always suggest purchasing prescribed medical orthotics because they fix specific foot issues that an insert would otherwise not be able to achieve.

Foot issues that can be solved using an orthotic include:

- Pain related to a low arch

- Pain related to diabetes

- Plantar fasciitis

- Arthritis

- Bursitis
